TiviMate 5.0 won't load my Xtream codes — solved

**Problem:** After updating to TiviMate 5.0, my Xtream Codes playlist refused to load. Got "Failed to load" or stuck on "Loading playlist...". ## What actually fixed it 1. **Check the URL format.** TiviMate 5.0 is stricter. Use `http://host:port` — no trailing slash, no `/c/`, no `/get.php` at the end. Just the bare server. 2. **Clear app cache:** Settings → Playlist → remove the playlist → Settings → Apps → TiviMate → Clear cache. Re-add. 3. **DNS:** Switch the Firestick to 1.1.1.1 (Wi-Fi → modify network → advanced). Many ISPs throttle or block IPTV DNS lookups. 4. **EPG separately:** Don't paste the XMLTV URL into the Xtream field. Add it under EPG sources after the playlist loads. 5. **VPN sanity check:** if your provider geo-blocks, connect to a server in the same country as your line. ## Still failing? - Check line status with your provider (expired/locked). - Try the same creds in IPTV Smarters — if it works there, it's a TiviMate config issue. - Downgrade to 4.9 from APKMirror as a last resort. Marking solved — the trailing slash was the killer for me.
