Both still work on Tizen in 2026 but they're not equal anymore. Quick honest take after running both for a month on a 2023 QLED: ## Smart IPTV (SIPTV) - **Pros:** rock-solid EPG, channel groups, parental lock, external player support. - **Cons:** €5.49 one-time activation per MAC after 7-day trial. Worth it if you stay on the same TV. - **Best for:** users who want a "set and forget" experience. ## SS IPTV - **Pros:** completely free, easier first-time setup with a 6-digit code. - **Cons:** no EPG history, weaker channel grouping, occasional sorting bugs. - **Best for:** casual users or testing a new line. ## My pick SIPTV for the primary living-room TV. SS IPTV on the bedroom TV where I just want news in the morning. Also worth mentioning: if you have a 2024+ Samsung, sideloading TiviMate via developer mode is no longer possible — Tizen 8 closed that off. Stick to the two above or use an external Fire TV Stick.
